Is your day full of job security?
Heather Murray one of my Savvy Sponsoring program clients said something to me that I thought was a real gem.
She reflected that if she’s not careful she keeps talking to the same people in her downline who are not really making any changes in the way they do their business. In other words she really wants it for them more than they want it for themselves.
Because Heather uses the tools from the program (I love it, does a coaches’ heart good!) she is always working to find the meaning behind the meaning and asked herself, “Why am I working with them when they’re not following through?” The obvious answer pops up…I want them to be successful. But then she laughed and said to me, “you know what else, it’s job security.”
I didn’t get it at first and asked her “What do you mean by job security.” Heather’s reply, As long as I’m talking to them I feel like I’ve got job security. There is always something for me to do that’s easy and keeps me in my comfort zone.”
Just by becoming aware of this made a huge difference to Heather. Oh she’s still there for those who decide to take action and move forward. But Heather is delighted she’s lost her “job security” and is building a much more effective business.
